#WCW: Ashley Ford, from Kendra Scott

Working in the fashion industry, our Ali & Ariel team has quite a few style icons we adore. Classiness is our ultimate accessory, and who doesn’t love a little accessory or six. Believe it or not, dressing with class can keep up with the endless turnover of trends. A statement necklace paired with one of our statement tees = perfection.

One of our favorite leading ladies, and ultimate vision of elegance, also happens to be the point of contact for our newest partnership with Kendra Scott Jewelry (I know, freaking out!!). With incredible taste, style, and enthusiasm for representing her brand (which, we adore!)– we can’t help but have a crush. She too, believes in the strength of women empowerment (along with sparkles, fashion, and champagne on Fridays). We can’t get enough of the customizable Kendra Scott jeweled pieces, and we’d love to introduce you to one of our favorite fashionistas. Meet Ashley Ford– she’s such a gem.

AA: What inspired you to begin your career at Kendra Scott?

I have been a fan of Kendra Scott’s jewelry since my freshman year of college in 2009. I started as a part time sales associate after I graduated and totally fell in love with the company’s values and how philanthropic it is. Not many people can say they’ve helped to contribute $1.4 million dollars for local charities while also getting to play with jewelry every day!

AA: How do you measure success?

I’ve always measured success by my own happiness but after working for this company I have tried to look at success as the happiness of others around you. I don’t mean it in a people-pleaser way, but more so on the impact you can have on others and the little things you can do to make someone’s day. Our CEO has this amazing quote that I strive to live by “The truest form of success is to give back in a meaningful way.”

AA: What is your best piece of advice for young women?

I feel like I am still constantly telling myself this but- Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and don’t beat yourself up when you do make one. It’s okay to not be perfect, laugh at yourself, learn your lesson and move on!

AA: What are the 3 character traits you value most in someone else?

Hard-working, playful, passionate

AA: What is your number one beauty staple?

I just recently discovered eye lash extensions… I know, I’m late in the game… but now I feel like I could never live a day without these ridiculous long and full eyelashes!
